Father’s Day is always bittersweet for me since my father passed. I miss him so much every day, but Father’s Day is just an extra reminder of how lucky we were to have such an amazing father in our lives as long as we did. I would give the world to have him back, although I do know he’s watching over us.
This picture is from our Marymount High School’s father daughter dance. Kim and I went to all girls catholic school with uniforms and all…and this was one of the events every year. In this pic, Kim was in 9th grade and I was in 10th…don’t you love the matching dresses and hair styles? And what a handsome date! Ahh the good old days.
We are very fortunate to have Bruce in our lives…he has been married to my mom since I was 12 years old…wow! He would do anything for me, and me for him. I love you Bruce…I am very blessed to have you!

Im sorry your dad is no longer with you. (((hugs)))) My dad is still living, but after numerous strokes, he know longer knows who i am. I still feel blessed that i have him.

I lost my real father at 9yrs old. 3 days after Father’s Day. I was blessed to have my step-father in my life for 30 yrs. He loved me as a his own daughter & helped to fill the void of losing my real father as such a young age. I loved them both & was blessed to have them both. I miss them so much & i can relate to your feeling of bitter-sweet.

I feel the same way you do about Father’s Day. I lost my dad 4 days before my 14th bday. So yes every year this time (and holidays) is hard at times b/c we want our daddy’s here with us. I’m glad he is in a better place & is watching over me & my brothers. One day we’ll be together again

Thankx 4 the lovely pic & memory. I’m sure there are more. I MISS my Dad 2, but he lives 19000 miles away, getting divorced, and lost his job w/ GM. I’d give ANYTHING 2 spend a day w/him, but I can’t go back 2 Wisconsin, cause the weather takes a MAJOR toll on my body, so I had 2 move away from family & friends. Such a sweet picture. I lost my Dad when I was just 8 y/o & then my Mom picked up as my Dad too…so she was both my parents all rolled into one. She was so beautiful but she’d never date anyone (& they were coming out of the woodwork when they heard my Dad died!) As I got older, she told me she never wanted anyone to come between us, so it was just she & I alone in the world as all our family is in Europe. Sadly, she passed 6 years ago & I still wish her also a Happy Father’s Day on this day since she was both Mother & Father to me! Did you make BeeShee for Bruce?

kourtney, my father passed away july 5th 2009 from the same thing your father passed away from. i’m 19 years old around the same age as you guys were when you lost your dad. I remember watching the E true hollywood story on your family and i remember kim talking about how her leg was bigger then your dads. i’ve felt the same feeling. you and your sisters and brother are such an inspiration to me because you have gone through the same thing i am going through and you still have turned out to be such amazing human beings. i truly look up to you and your family. i love you all.
