My sisters and I participated in the NOH8 campaign yesterday. It’s a cause that is very near and dear to all of us…we all strongly believe in equality. Now that I am bringing a life into the world, the cause means that much more. I want my son to grow up in a world where love conquers hate. It’s crazy to me that in today’s modern world, the fight for same sex marriage is even an issue.
The NOH8 campaign is amazing and most of the comments on here are just SPREADING HATRED! What is wrong with you people?!?!

Well, because I’m Christian, I’m obligated to certain rules; same-sex marriage is in fact, an issue at my church in Diamond Bar. But despite how I feel, I still think that people should have the right to choose their own path, just like any other choice in life. Its so ignorant when I hear people scream religion, when they need to be reminded that ultimately God is the only one here to judge. People can get carried away sometimes; At the end of the day, I give you and other people credit for standing for what you believe is right. If people on her tell you that God says its for a man and woman, I think they need to remember that Christianity is not a religion, rather a personal relationship with God. We all have choices in life, its NOT our responsibility to judge or try and make choices for other people. Sexual orientation is no different!!

I don’t condone homosexuality but I’m not a hater either, I like people like Ellen Degenerees and I believe if a gay person wants to get married or do whatever, what right does anyone have to prohibit them, its not like heterosexuals are any better than homosexuals. I hate the sin of homosexuality in all honesty but I don’t in any way hate or discriminate against gay people (I have gay friends), people don’t often choose to be gay they’re often born that way just like no one chooses their race or sex so why hate on something thats not usually a choice? the world would be so much better if we all just got along and left the judging to God.

I am a Christian as well but I find Vanessa’s comment to be off quite a bit. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you’re obligated to anything. That defeats the whole purpose of it all. It should mean that you are totally in love with Jesus and appreciate what He did, has done and will do for you in your life…even when it seems like everything is going wrong. Its about knowing and believing that His love is what is true. thats what its all about LOVE. Which means no matter what, you love. No matter who someone else is, if you agree or not, if you would or not, if you are or not, you love them – right where they’re at. What Jesus did on the cross = LOVE. While sin may be what put Him up there…He still did it out of LOVE. One of my best friends in the world is gay and he knows where I stand but we don’t ever really talk about it but we are still best friends. And for anyone who would call me lukewarm its not because I “condone” but because I LOVE. Lets not forget that Jesus wasn’t even hanging out with the religious leaders. He was in the midst of the prostitutes, tax collectors and cripples. All outcast, hated, not accepted for whatever reason — all sinners — but they knew Him by His LOVE. And once we truly obtain that relationship that Vanessa was talking about, we’ll know that love so well, and it will become so strong in us that there is nothing left to do but just LOVE everyone. No matter what. Because thats God’s heart.
