kids under 2 should never have peanut butter because of this very reason..glad to hear he is ok..too high a risk for allergies poor baby..don’t worry we learn many things as new mommys
it is always better to be safe than sorry! my little girl had her first fall a few weeks ago she cried for about a minute then she was fine but i knew i had to call the paramedics they sent someone to check her over she was perfectly fine but it is such a weight off a mummys mind to know for sure xx
i’ve heard aswel not to give children peanuts under the age of 2 and read online some people had rude comments about mason having peanuts at his age but it really bugs me when people comment without knowing the facts! kourtney is such a fab mum she never would have given mason peanut butter if she knew its not recommended! also it might not have even been kourt or even scott that gave it to him! GRRR people make me so angry jumping to stupid views without knowing the story its the worst feeling when your scared for your childs wellbeing

My cousin Gina actually had this same incident on 11/12/10 her son who is 21 months had an allergic reaction to peanut butter. She only put a dab on his lip, and he freaked! He had hives as well. She gave him childrens benadryl and he had to be on that for 5 days. She missed one day and he had hives again, and he actually throws up when he misses the benadryl. Crazy how the littlest thing is so dramatic you know!? What did the doctors tell you to do for Mason? Hope he is better hes so cutee!!
I’m so happy that Mason is okay and you are very responsible and you made the right choice when you noticed his reaction. He is getting so big ! You’re the best mom and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise !

Kudos – You did not overreact AT ALL by calling 911 – my daughter’s allergist said that allergic reactions can turn deadly in minutes. The allergic reaction was not due to his age (as some are indicating) – it is safe to give children over the age of 1 peanut butter. But all parents need to monitor peanut reactions My daughter is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts, and we discovered it much the same way. It is impossible to predict when food allergies develop – some develop at birth and others as we age. There is no predictor – just smart and swift responses by responsible parents!

I am so glad he is doing better. OMG those photos and the videos especially were so creepy. I saw the headline on Yahoo and it immediately showed the footage, creeeepppppy. I wish I never would have seen it, it gave me the chills. It reminded me of when my little sister had a similar accident when I was little, but she split her face open. She fell face first over her bike. It was so scary. The worst part was that her and I were about a mile from home, so I calmed her down picked her up and ran all the way home with her in my arms. I was so terrified. She ended up having to go to the ER and get lots of stitches. All well.. I am just really glad to hear that Mason is feeling better and doing well. By the way that picture of you and Mason is just gorgeous! I absolutely love it. Take care and stay well Masey!
