It can definitely be a challenge juggling work commitments and making sure Mason is always my number one priority, but I make sure I always make time for him, no matter what.
I make sure I schedule as many work-related meetings as I can at our home so that I’m not away from Mason, and really take advantage of his nap times to squeeze in some work while he’s asleep. These are just my little tricks for balancing working and being a mom.
Watch this week’s mommy blog here and check out my previous mommy blogs.

Kourtney I always said that i would love for you to come out with a book about parenting or something of that sort. thank you for sharing your thoughts on being a wonderful parent.Even though everyones situation is different, the love you have for your child is pretty much the same from mom to mom. It helps a lot for moms to share their experiences with mother hood even if they aren’t all the same. Keep doing an amazing job raising that precious little boy and keep the parenting advice coming! I love it all!
Wow, there is a lot of negativity here. Being a Mom is hard, no matter if you’re privileged or not. Mom’s have their own unique parenting challenges. It would be great if we could just support each other through this journey where we are often learning each and every day and as we go along.
What are your secrets to getting in shape so fast?! Any tips for working single moms?
You are the amazing mother!
love all of the kardashians but can’t believe you still have mason in an infant car seat, i was told with my kids that if their feet are over the end of seat and you face them backwards they can break their ankles if you crash, i think its time for mason to be in a front facing car seat, sorry but i think you should be aware of this..
Tracy,
Legs are easier to fix than a broken neck!
Rear facing is recommended until at least 2 years old and longer if possible.
My daughter’s car seat is an infant/toddler covertable car seat. It’s rear facing 5-45 lbs and front facing 20-65 lbs. As long as he is in a car seat that is appropriate for his weight and he’s rear facing then it’s fine! American Academy of Pediatrics recommend rear facing until 2 years old. Some states are actually looking into changing the law to 2 yrs front facing instead one 1 yrs. I’m sure Kourtney is aware of the car seat laws, and what is recommended by some of the most world renounced pediatricians. I think she’s a great mom, and like another mentioned, doesn’t matter how much money you have. My husband is in the Army and we have tight budget but I still make sure my daughter is first. I can’t even tell you when the last time was that I bought anything for my self, I always put my daughter first. You can have tons of fun with your kids and be on a budget, the zoo, the park, the aquariums, museums the list goes on, and most places are in my opionion reasonably priced. My daughter thinks it’s just so exciting to even go visit her dad at work! You can make anything fun for kids!
Kourtney,
It’s so awesome to have someone like you to identify with. I have ALWAYS been very into my kids and always dread leaving them. Watching mothers who flippantly leave their kids always made me wonder if my heartache was normal. You are very blessed to be able to set your schedule around his.
Thanks
Jackie
I agree that most moms are trying to be the best moms they can be. That’s why I created http://mommby.com to provide support, guidance, and encouragement to other moms. I agree with you that a happy mom makes a hapy child.
I’ve been a working mom and a SAHM, and for me, being a SAHM was way more fulfilling… so that’s what I’m doing. I think if you’re truly doing your best as a mom, it doesn’t matter what kind of mom you are. Moms that love unconditionally are the best moms!
I think some of the negativity is stemmed in lack of relatability.
Having said that, NO ONE has the right to knock you for not living THEIR life.
In YOUR life, you are making time for Mason, and no matter what, your child is YOUR priority.
Look, I may not walk in your shoes, and you may not walk in mine, but at the end of the day, we are both, in our OWN ways, doing the best we can for OUR OWN KIDS.
No one has the right to dictate to you what conditions should be met in order to accomplish whatever this flimsy notion of a “real parent” seems to be to people out there in the world.
The fact remains…you are a single mom. While some people may perceive things, the truth is, we have NO idea what is going on in your life, no matter how many cameras follow your family around (hired or not). Being a single mother doesn’t get easier just because you have money or a TV contract. It might put money in a bank account, but money doesn’t raise a child.
Do what you can to keep yourself going, try to rise above the start up stupidity.
what i admire about your mommy skills is your patience and your calm voice..thats smthing a lot of moms lose when their tired or upset but you manage you control yourself and i think its great
Kourtney.. You are such a great business woman and mother!! I know you
Have some haters out there but, just want you to know you are my role model and I truly admire you as a business woman n mother!! You rock, you are my motivation to still look great and enjoy your career after having a baby!! I just had my son 5 months ago and it’s definitely a juggle to manage work and my little man but it’s not impossible!! I am extremely dedicated and hard working
but now I just have so much drive because I have little man who provides me with that motivation and makes me strive for more!! You have been such a motivation for me as well.. I see you n I know it’s possible to be tone defined n looking better than ever after a baby, be super mom, while continuing to be succesful at work!! Thank you!!!
do not forget how lucky you! you do not have to think how to feed and clothe your child, good luck

You’re a dedicated mom, Kourtney and that is very admireable.
It is awesome that you and Scott are such great parents.
Completely agree. We have many women from our site that discuss this all the time. In today’s world many of us need to work which gives us an outlet and makes the time with our little ones much more special!

I love your mommy blog, they are very helpful, especially this one because it is hard balancing your time with things that are important in life to you. Now, that I am not working I do get more time to spend with my kids. The feeling I get from that is priceless. My kids are my everything. I make my kids my first priority, my husband second, and the rest comes next.
Kourtney is perfect! I love her , and Mason too , they are lovely

Does he prefer the same book or does he like a variety? Which ones do you find the most entertaining for him?
Hi I’m from the Caribbean, an island of Trinidad & Tobago,
I try to watch your show when I can get the chance to,
I think you and Khloe and Kim are really inspirational to others,
I’m glad you found a way to gain the attention of many,
It’s really great the way you guys interact with each other,
I love the relationships you have with your son, boyfriend, sisters, mom and
family on the whole. Congrats. You’re a great person…
Any advice on keeping the relationship between a guy and lady strong.?
You are an absolute joke. Your “parenting skills” and thinking you are an authority to A) have this blog and B) feel the need to tell the world what you think the best tricks for being a “successful mom” is simply embarrassing. I clicked on your page to see just what words of wisdom the omniscient Kourtney Kardashian had to say and was appalled. You call yourself a working mother yet you’re clearly sitting at home in your …PJs? during the middle of the day. It would imagine it’d be quite offensive to the real working mothers out there who wake up at 5am, get themselves ready, take care of their children, run to work, run home and most likely are trying to cook dinner, do laundry, spend time with their child (children), put them to bed and try to have 5 minutes of their own time.
If you’re going to have a video blog such as this one, you should strongly consider some public speaking courses, speaking like a valley girl and playing with your hair every 5 minutes isn’t going to make anyone take you seriously.
The rose colored world you live in must be pretty nice b/c your reality is certainly not like the rest of the world’s reality. Get a clue.
i kept my son in his car seat till he was in second grade, i remember pulling up to school and dropping him off would have to take him out and put him in his car seat. But he was small and i was not chanceing anything. i was a stay at home mom until he went to school then i went back to college when he started school, and was only in school while he was at school so could take him and pick him back up. Now that i graduated from college and got my degree and he was so use to me being there he does not like me working, so thats hard.
I was wondering, Kourtney, do you vaccinate Mason?
Kourtney I hope you dont listen to those HATERS!!!!! Your a great mommy! And I LOVE you fashion! You can balance being a mother and being a business woman, you are well rescepted! So just keep doing what your doing and be positive!:)
