I decided to change up my hair to try something new. I haven’t touched my hair color in over 10 years and thought it was time for some fun. Don’t even ask…why now after 10 years…I’m just crazy.
I did research about doing anything to the color of my hair while pregnant and followed all of the guidelines from my doctor and took the proper precautions necessary. I highlighted my hair (which is considered the safest form of hair color while pregnant) and NOT to the root, so nothing ever touched my scalp. I also used products that did not contain any ammonia. It is also recommended to be in a well-ventilated area as well as being at least in your second trimester, and I followed both of those rules. Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I take caution in all the products I use all the time, but especially when pregnant.
I still am not sure how I feel about the color. I would say dark probably suits me best, but a change is always fun! At this point, I don’t want anything else on my hair besides sulfate free shampoo and conditioner.

the people telling you that you cant dye your hair while pregnant are idiots there is no proof that dying your hair even with dye that touches your scalp while pregnant will in any way harm your baby! the only thing i was told when pregnant with my daughter is to make sure your well ventilated! one of my close friends is a hair dresser she made a great point when i asked her she said if it was harmful to pregnant women all pregnant hairdressers would have to give up their job the moment they found out they were pregnant because its so easy to get splashes of dye bleach etc on your skin while doing hair all day! just ignore the haters they are just looking for an excuse to have a moan!

Here’s my advice: keep dying your hair, breathe second hand smoke, paint the room and breathe the fumes, ingest MSG, nitrates and every other preservative possible, vaccinate it 42 times by the time it’s three, it won’t make any difference. This is a K girl and the IQ will be 12 no matter what.

You have the most amazing hair. I switched to Fekkai a while back because of you. What kind of sulfate free shampoo/conditioner do you use? I know Fekkai isn’t sulfate free.

It’s funny you talk so much about being a great mother when you are on 95% of all your pictures alone or with friends, no Mason around. He is in a day care.
