Mermaids are so inspiring to me! I have always loved mermaids since I was a little girl when my grandmother used to read me the original little mermaid book. Splash and The Little Mermaid are two movies I always loved to watch growing up and still love to watch.

I’m a little bit obsessed with the mermaid documentaries about how mermaids really do exist.

I was on an airplane home from New York and got inspired! Thank goodness for wireless internet because my flight was fantastic. I went to the Sea of Shoes website and I am mesmerized! This girl has such a fantastic sense of style. She is so young and talented and motivated. She is my inspiration today to start blogging more about the fashion that I know and love!

I adore Kate Moss’s sense of style.  She always look effortlessly chic!  I love her Minnetonka suede fringe boots, her suede thigh high boots (I finally found some last fall by Jimmy Choo), this leopard coat is amazing!  I think it’s important to have someone to look up to when it comes to style and fashion, and this person can change all the time too.  We all get in fashion “ruts” where we find ourselves wearing the same things again and again.  I like having inspiration that I can pull from, so that I do try new things.  Don’t be afraid to push the envelope, check yourself sometimes and think about what you have been dressing like, and always reevaluate it.  Always have fun with fashion!  Check out some of her chic looks.

I just ADORE these Oliver Peoples Alina sunglasses. I think they are so fun and different! I had to have them, I think they can totally MAKE an outfit! What sunglasses are you loving this spring?

We went to a nightclub right next door to our hotel Jouele called Dolce. We had as much fun as we could considering we were there for less than 24 hours! I need to go back soon for longer!

When it comes to fashion, shoes are definitely my favorite thing to buy! I stumbled upon Sea of Shoes randomly when looking for a certain pair of Givenchy shoes online. I was instantly obsessed with Jane!  Her passion for fashion reminds me of mine in high school when I used to sew clothes for my friends.  Her sense of style blows me away and she is only 17 years old!!  I truly admire her confidence and fashion risks she takes.  She is doing something right because her risks all work.  Even the way she decorates her “sets” when taking pictures is amazing…what a talented girl!  It will be fun to watch her fashion journey and see what she does with her talent…hmmm a clothing line we can sell at Dash?

I’m actually going to visit Jane’s vintage store in Dallas later this week so I hope I get to meet her and have a chat. I’ll post updates soon!
