This week for my Moms and Babies blog I wrote about our Fourth of July weekend in NYC. What did you all do for the fourth?
For the long Fourth of July weekend we ALL — Mason, Scott, Kris, Kim, Khloé, Lamar, Kendall and our entire camera crew! — headed off to the Big Apple! It was Mason’s first trip to New York, where Scott was born and raised.
Scott and I enjoyed taking Mason around the city, strolling outside. What a fantastic city for children with the culture, the museums, the parks, endless activities and the energy.
We also took Mason out to the Hamptons to visit Scott’s parents, who Mason doesn’t get a chance to see every day like he does my family. Naturally, the grandparents were beyond excited to spend some nice time with their grandson relaxing by the pool.
Mason LOVES the pool! (Lots of sunscreen, a swim diaper and a big hat, of course.)
Which brings me to a subject I could use feedback on: I am thinking of having Mason start swimming lessons this summer. I’ve heard that babies become great swimmers when taught early because of their natural survival instinct to hold their breath under water. The combination of a pool and a baby does scare me if lots of caution isn’t taken though.
How does everyone feel about it? When is the right time to teach a child to swim?
Mason is wearing swim shorts by Stella Cove and H+M hat.
Kim, Mom and I have added a bunch of items to Kim’s Kloset on eBay.
I literally cleaned out my closet and have put more than 50 items up for auction. It was a well overdue clear-out, and it feels good to have finally gotten that done… plus a portion of the proceeds will go to our favorite charity, Dream Foundation.
Most of the auctions end July 4, so make sure you get bidding now!
Scott, Mason and I are in NYC! The weather is gorgeous right now… it’s a perfect day in NYC.
I’m wearing H+M skirt and top. Christian Louboutin shoes and Balenciaga bag.
Mason is wearing Kicky Pants onesie, Fore shorts and Lamb shoes.
I just came across this review of our tanning gel, Kardashian Glamour Tan, on OMGobsessed.com and Tricia gave such a nice review I wanted to post it.
It’s always great to hear so many positive reviews from people who have tried the product and have loved it.
Thanks to Tricia for her lovely review. I’m so glad you love the product as much as we do!!

Hi dolls! For my Moms and Babies blog this week I wanted to talk about something that is a little controversial… having Mason sleep in my bed with me. Some say it’s not the best idea for the baby, but to be honest, much like breast feeding, I find it to be an amazing bonding experience for mother and son and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Read more about Mason’s sleeping habits below and be sure to check out last week’s blog about breast feeding little Mase.
When Mason first came home from the hospital, he slept in a bassinet right next to my bed. I remember those early days when he was often up all night and asleep all day. Scott and I would take turns staying up with him, singing to him, rocking him, doing anything and everything to get the little angel to sleep.
I was told that Mason would eventually switch around on his own — so he’d be awake during the day and sleeping at night — which he finally did.
When I was pregnant, a few of my friends told me that their babies slept in bed with them. I remember thinking how crazy that was. Then I started reading up on it and decided it was something I actually wanted to try.
