In honor of my mom and my sisters who mean the world to me and always support me, I am proud to announce that today is International Women’s Day. Women make the world go around and to celebrate please support one a great organization Hands Up Not Handouts. They partner with women of the world in the design, production and marketing of unique, one-of-a kind goods using their traditional handicraft techniques. All proceeds from the sale of these beautiful accessories go back to the women and their communities to make their lives sustainable.
My favorites are the purple sweet grass earrings and the 20 cm “Widad” cuff that means, “love” in Arabic.
Moving to Miami for a little while with cameras in tow, is definitely an ordeal to pack for. Monica Rose, my amazing stylist and I love doing “outfit days” where I try on all the clothes in my closet and we pick which accessories to put with them… it just saves my time when in Miami… more time for work and play. And I don’t over pack…well not too much! I’m all about comfortable, effortless chic! These Citizens of Humanity jeans are one of my favorite pairs of boyfriend jeans at the moment. So comfy!
Go to Monica’s blog to see what else I’m wearing!
In Touch and Star Magazine have been having a field day when it comes to my relationship. Week after week Scott and I have been on the cover of In Touch with stories that make us laugh. Their evidence of me supposedly sleeping at my mom’s house (I have never slept there) is that my car isn’t in my driveway (it’s in my garage, duh!). We have been blessed with the most amazing, beautiful baby boy and couldn’t be happier. And saying that Scotts initials are STD and that he had a dogtag because he was proud of it…his initials are SMD, but nice story, idiots. Anyways, I can go on and on…but just wanted you all to know that these stories are based on lies. My sisters and I are as close as always and happy in our relationships. DO NOT BUY the magazines to perpetuate the lies!!!
Kim, Khloe and I have joined up with Celebuzz to launch a fun Oscars contest! We each picked our favorite five red carpet looks from Oscars history and Celebuzz Photoshopped our heads on to our number one pick! Mine was Penelope Cruz‘s 2009 Chanel Haute Couture gown from 2008. Penelope always kills it every year with her dress, but her dress this year stood out to me. Plus… if she’s going to be playing me in the KUWTK: The Movie, I’m going to need her to look fabulous when the movie scoops all the top awards that year, lol.
So… for your chance to win a fabulous gift basket filled with beauty products chosen by Kim, Khloe and I, you have to get creative!! We want you to Photoshop one (or all!) of our heads on to your favorite Oscars red-carpet celebrities from Oscars history and upload it in the comments section on Celebuzz. Kim, Khloe and I will each pick our favorite Photoshopped image and three of you will win! Head over to the Celebuzz page now and get creative, dolls! And be kind…
One of the first gifts I was given when I was pregnant were Aden and Anais swaddles. My girlfriend told me it was her favorite thing when she had her daughter and that I would love them… she was right! They come in a pack of four swaddles… they are made of 100 % cotton muslin, so they are super light weight and breathable. I use them for everything… nursing cover, blanket, over a boppy pillow to make a little lounge spot, and of course as a swaddle. I always keep one in my diaper bag, and it has come in so handy! The prints are really fun too… from simple and sweet to fun and funky. I also love their sleeping bags and washcloth sets.
Friday night I hosted a DASH fashion show at JET nightclub at The Mirage. Scott and I brought some of our best friends, Michael and, who I went to college with… they are the cutest married couple ever! Roya and Brittaney who work at DASH (my DASH dolls!) and helped style the entire fashion show, also came with me. We started the night with dinner at STACKS, and then headed to the club to see the fashion show! It was our first night ever leaving Mason and we were both very sad without him, but he was at his grandparents house (mom and Bruce) with Auntie Kimmie, Auntie Kendall and Auntie Kylie. I got lots of pictures emailed to me all night long!!
