You are the best mom ever!! I love how you take Mason everywhere with you instead of some nanny watching him like alot of famous poeple do. You do a great job, keep it up!! Mason will grow up to have a great personality on his shoulders.
Kourt! i love your style!!! Mason looks so cute <3
First of all I love you! and Ive been the biggest fan of the Kardashian family for couple of years! How business oriented you are and how beautiful you are inspire me all the time!
Today, I am here to share some story of my life and I really want you to know about it.
My name is Umi and I am an international student from Japan!! I am studying Nutritional Science and I've been in the Stares(Glendale, California) for almost three years(i was even following your works when i was in Japan!!!)
Even though i was born and raised in Japan, my father was Senegalese(west African) so, I think you know how it is to be a mixed person but i pretty much been through very tough childhood and felt like there should be a better place for me to live and feel completely comfortable being me(mixed) and the place was the U.S.
I studied really hard to get accepted into Glendale Community College and was very very excited to finally come here. The very first year, i was not anything but happy to be studying in here and making new friends. but one day, in February 2010, in the middle of night i had a phone call from my mother from Japan saying that my father just passed away…….I could not believe that and i have no idea how many nights i cried through instead of going to sleep… He was diagnosed with blood cancer and was 58 years old.
After that, my mother told me that my father had refused to tell me about his health condition because he did not want me to be distracted from my school. He was a very smart guy(mechanical engineer) and was always talking about how important was education to everyone. He even moved to Japan from Africa in 1980's to attend one of Japanese University to get a master's degree. Therefore, even after the very sad incident, Ive tried focusing on school as much as possible to maintain my GPA and I'm very proud to say that its been successful. I really want my father to be proud of me and see me that i can do it. That's the only thing I have in my mind.
However, after my father's passing, my financial situation has changed completely. Even though my father used to work in a Japanese company, he used to send most of his money to the family back in Senegal and he also passed away in Senegal so there was pretty much no inheritance left for me. My mother has been supporting me by herself but after the earthquake in Japan and the bad economy, my mother's company is going through very tough times. Also, me, as an international student is not allowed to work here. Therefore, i really cannot do anything about my financial situation. But my mother is always pushes my back to support my educational goal because she really wants me to finish school and be an independent women.
Right now, I am living in Glendale and it is really close to GCC but I'm planning to transfer to Cal State LA anytime soon. But my problem is that me and my mother cannot afford a car. So, I might not be able to continue my education. I have waited to get a car because of our finance and i did not really need it since i live really closed my school. I do not need a car to go out and hang out with friends but to finish my school. After i transfer tothe university, i cannot not having a car. I mean, i cannot finish my program since it includes some internships. but i really want to continue and complete my education here in the United States…..
i do not want to sound like a beggar. but i am very serious about my education and Im not ashamed to say that i need help for it because education is not a privilege.
All the international students pay more than $3000 every semester in city colleges. if we go to the 4 year Universities, it would even go up to $5000 and we actually pay 10 times more than the local students….. My mother and I are seeking your support if possible….
I really want to be a success woman like you in the future. Inspiring, helping, beautiful, and independent woman. I really hope you read this message and contact me…
