Kourtney: Hi there! I watch your TV show a lot and I observe people

very carefully and listen to not only what they are saying but also what they
are not saying. I studied to be a therapist in graduate school but due to certain difficult life circumstances I had to leave and never finished to get
my MA in counseling…and yet I still feel very capable of seeing the truth
while people are expressing how they feel to each other. I truly believe
with all my heart that you and Scott have a beautiful chemistry between you…and as I was watching you and Scott after he had his hand operated on…I felt compelled to tell you how I interpreted one of your important conversations…one that ended badly where you were very emotional and
upset. When you had stressed the importance of Scott understanding the need to pay bills…as a sign of maturity and accepting responsibility for
himself and his family…I felt a sudden lack of understanding occured as well as a lack of communication. Scott strikes me as a young man who
probably comes from a well to do family…and his mind is probably focused
on what he can do to support you, he and Mason more than the idea of paying bills. I feel this is where things went wrong in the conversation.
I believe both of you truly love each other very much and true communication is what real love is all about. I can relate to where Scott may have been coming from…as my father who is also deceased gambled
away close to a million dollars before he died..and that was all the money he had after a lifetime of running a jewelry business with my now deceased mother. When my parents were alive…money was a big issue in my homelife and I’ll bet the same is true in Scott’s family of origin…and I was
under much pressure to please my father’s vision of my becoming a very
wealthy lady and so I started my designing business when I was 31 yrs.
old. I ran it successfully for 18 years and then stopped it when my mother
became ill with Parkinson’s disease. (She passed away 2 years ago).out what you need.
in any event, if someone would have told me that paying bills was the
ultimate sign of maturity I would have said to them that I felt that the ultimate sign of maturity was the ability to create a successful vehicle for
money to come in continually and have the potential to build limitlessly…
and therefore always having the abilty to pay any bill that could ever possibly come along. I believe Scott’s mentality and frame of reference psychologically was in the right place but was somehow not understood
during that conversation…It wasn’t that he did not care about what you needed…it was more about you understanding where he was coming from.
I hope my feedback is valuable for you. Regards, Linda
