I love me some yoga! I really enjoyed yoga at the end of my pregnancy. It truly helped to calm me and allow me to focus on staying grounded before giving birth.

I strongly recommend doing some prenatal yoga at the end of pregnancy when preparing to bring new life into your home. It helped me focus on eating right and getting my head in the right space.

I also started doing some yoga after giving birth as well to help heal my body.

Sleeping is such a popular topic amongst all new mommies.

People always ask how are they sleeping? Are you getting any sleep? Every baby is different. I personally love sleeping with my babies. I love having that extra time with them at night and love how easy it makes breast feeding. For the first few months, I do get up and sit in my glider to nurse, and have those special precious moments at night. You only live once and I love to cherish every precious moment while I can, which is why I adore sleeping with my children.

There are a lot of tips that I strongly recommend for co-sleeping safely if you are going to try it. Watch the video for my tips!
I also recently discovered Sleepyhead, (which I don’t believe is available yet in the US). It is very similar to the Snuggle Nest, which I used last time. This time I have been loving the Sleepyhead. Amazing for sleeping in different beds (traveling), etc… I also am using the Arm’s Reach co-sleeper this time around, which is wonderful! I love the safety aspect of it and also the accessibility and closeness it provides.

Picking out the right stroller can be such a confusing task, especially because so many strollers are so perfect for so many different occasions.

Reading books was such a huge part of my childhood. I have so many memories about my dad reading books to us at bedtime, me reading books to kim and even organizing our books.

I still have so many of my childhood books that I am so lucky to be able to share with my children.Reading is so important! We must read at least 12 or more books a day in my house. In this mommy blog I share some of my favorites!

In this week’s mommy blog I talk about the importance of taking naps, and sleeping when your baby does! I was nursing until Mason was 14 months old so I found that having Mason sleep in bed with me was the best way to get the best night’s sleep. Of course you have to take the right precautions! We slept on a mattress on the floor with no pillows of blankets, to eliminate any risk of suffocation or Mason falling out of the bed. This is what worked for us, but of course everyone is different.

Hey dolls! In my latest Mommy Blog I talk all about how Scott and I discipline Mason. We haven’t gotten to a place where we feel comfortable giving him time-outs yet, I find it best to sit down and talk to Mason, and so far it’s working, but you never know what will happen in the future. As long as Scott and I are on the same page with regards to the way we discipline and teach Mason lessons, that’s what is most important.

It’s mommy blog time!

It can definitely be a challenge juggling work commitments and making sure Mason is always my number one priority, but I make sure I always make time for him, no matter what.

I make sure I schedule as many work-related meetings as I can at our home so that I’m not away from Mason, and really take advantage of his nap times to squeeze in some work while he’s asleep. These are just my little tricks for balancing working and being a mom.
