The CW's Gossip Girl maintained its sturdy holding in the ratings last night. Chalk it up to the show's hot and heavy marketing campaign.
TV By The Numbers notes that "the CW had its second best Monday night ever in women 18-34 (3.5/9). The CW beat Fox and CBS on Monday with women 18-34, and finished just a tenth behind NBC."
Meanwhile, the site reports that the 9 p.m. third-season premiere of NBC's Heroes had under 10 million viewers, while last year's premiere netted 16 million.
But even though Heroes only had half the ratings share the Dancing with the Stars premiere raked in, it still did 40% better in the much sought-after 18-49 demo than DWTS.
Of course, when you boil this all down, it just makes you wonder where Gossip Girl and Heroes star Kristen Bell's loyalties really, truly lie?
