Kristen Johnston and Kathryn Hahn: Absolutely Flabbergasting
No, Kristen Johnston and Kathryn Hahn weren’t involved in an unfortunate explosion at a hippie’s yard sale. Johnston (3rd Rock from the Sun) and Hahn (Revolutionary Road) were merely filming for an upcoming adaptation of British television series Absolutely Fabulous in Los Angeles yesterday.
The original series, which ran on and off from 1992 to 2005, featured Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley as Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone, two hard-boozing, fashion-obsessed women living the high life in London.
As evidenced by the side-by-side photos above, Johnston and Hahn’s wild get-ups are pretty much in line with the original.
Now onto the more distressing problem presented by these photos: There’s yet another British adaptation coming to Hollywood. The strike’s been over for a while, writers; time to get back to work, guys.

Sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be a big hit in the U.S. Like The Office.
I feel it is just so wrong that counties make their own versions of original shows. Wrong wrong wrong. Shame on them!
