Kristen Stewart Doesn’t Want to Be Famous
Sounds like the pressure of being in the spotlight might be getting to Kristen Stewart.
In a new interview with BlackBook, the Twilight actress likens her life to the plight of everyone’s favorite sexy vampire, Edward Cullen:
“Edward is actually a really good parallel to fame…As a vampire, he has a sad, desolate life—fame is the same.”
So how does she plan to avoid becoming entrenched in such a sucky situation? The key, as she sees it, is not to be come too famous:
“I don’t want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie. Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable. I’m an actor. It’s bizarre to me that everybody’s so obsessive.”
A nice sentiment, Kristen, but as far as keeping yourself off of the A-list, that horse might have already left the barn.

i don’t think she can. this world, esp the celeb life, it’s nuts. i understand she hates fame, if i also, after awhile, I’d be sick of it. Kristen you rock ! and hope you can get what you want in life.

if she choose this and she loves this she has to understand that not evrything is pink….

Please be like Angelina Jolie, A.J. can actually “act” so don’t worry about being like her. Go cry over your millions in obscurity (get another job, it’s your choice). People would trade for a job like yours. Don’t wana be a celebrity, but keeps doing interviews and magazine shoots. Yeah sure…

EXACTLY!!!!! I really don’t buy everything that comes out of her mouth! Omg…I used to like her but now I just think she is an ungrateful person! She should thank God for everything that happened to her but instead she is complaining? I mean what-the-f***! I don’t give a sh*t about people who are in the entertainment business and say they don’t want to be famous. You become an actor because you are a narcissist in some way. If you wanted obscurity you would’ve chosen another occupation. You would be like me and sit behind a computer because you don’t like being around a ton of people.
i totally get where she is coming from. i hate all of the bull sh*t everyone talks about kristen!! she loves acting, but the price of fame she is going through right now is like none other. she can’t go out to dinner without being stalked by fans and paparazzi! i totally get it, its apparent that she loves being an actress and the price that comes with it is worth it, or else she wouldn’t be an actress. btw, promoting new moon, you have to be on magazine covers, get the movie more publicity, (not like there’s not enough anyways) :) love you kstew!!!
She’s contractually obligated to do press for the films. And Rob has said pretty much the same things she has over and over again. He can’t even go to Rite-Aid for deodorant and toothpaste without being screamed at. They are actors who like performing but don’t like all of the hullabaloo of huge franchises and over obsessed t/ween fans with no perspective that come with Twilight. I hope they get their wish and are able to do their Indie thing from now on.

ok haters, She is doing press and other sh*t bc it is a part of the contract when she sign for the movie. When she sign up for this twilight sh*t she didnt know it is going to be all crazy. come on lets be hornest. The first twi film was low budgets, its like its gonna be an indie flim and on top of that it didnt came out good but the fans went nuts anyway bc they love the book and that guy robert of course. She was just saying that she doesnt want to be like jolie bc of the fame and attention. She might word it little weird but I think her attentions are good. Stop hating. Um for the people saying that she should just stop doing all this mag, and movies- she can’t just stop, She is contractual obligated to do Twilight. If she could go back with all the knowledge of what twilight would become i don’t think she would have done it. i understand her POV and her not wanting to be in the spotlight because besides a select few fame-hungry people, no one does. but i think she needs to stop complaining and understand that in this day and age with the way the industry is AND the fact that she is a huge part of a franchise, being an actor means being a celebrity. 90% of the time the two are mutually exclusive. i like kstew but she needs to just accept the fact that unfortunately this is how her life is going to be for a while and find a good way to cope with it
Stop complaining and do your research before you take a role. That way you can go back to noone knowing who you are or caring about what you do.

Her life must really suck, sense she’s one of the most famous people in the world right now and she hates the fame.
Too bad that she doesn’t want to become as big as Angelina Jolie, cause she’s a really talented actress and could become that big.
Both she and Robert hates the fame that kind of comes with their job.

As with anything we choose to do in life, it’s always a double edged sword. I dn’t think she’s trying to bad mouth acting but at the same time, people want to bad mouth you for speaking your mind. We all want to excell at whatever we do but being in the spotlight has got to be tough.Give her a bit of a break. This coming from a 37 year old wife and mom of a a teenager.
I think now and then we should all try to put ourselves in a celbrities place and see if after a few months/years we could handle all the craziness with it?! I bet most would be screaming “I want my life back”, then you’d be saying I’m sorry for getting angry with her words. Btw, most interviewers want to rehash some of the same articles because they don’t have anything new to write about, but they have great “art”! Think about it.

Oh please! She isn’t even close to being an A-list. It’s not just about the fame in order to be A-list you also have to be able to act, which is something she can’t do. And Kristen don’t even worry of being like Angelina because you have NOTHING on her. Also stop complaining that you don’t want to be famous. You should have known being an actress would bring you some kind of fame. She also needs to realize how people would kill to be in the position she’s in now.
