Kristen Stewart to Get All Hacked Up With George Clooney in New Role?
Now here’s a role that Kristen Stewart can really sink her teeth into. Or at least bite her lip over.
The New Moon beauty is rumored to be up for he part of hacker Lisbeth Salander in an upcoming adaptation of the Swedish film trilogy Millennium. What’s more, the top contender for the male lead in the movie is none other than George Clooney. How interesting would it to be to see those two act opposite each other?
In the original Millennium trilogy—which was adapted from Swedish author Stieg Larsson‘s books—the role of Salander, a highly intelligent but antisocial and violence-prone computer hacker, was portrayed by Noomi Rapace. Sony Pictures is currently negotiating to adapt the film series.

wow..great trailer…don’t know what they’re are saying but still it’s a awesome trailer..natalie portman & ellen page are extremely talented actresses..but i would love to see kristen stewart act in this film..she has this sexy badass kinda look..i think she’ll be gr8 for this role..and i’m not just saying it coz i’m a kristen fan…she would look so hot wid a tattoo like that……i hope she get’s it…

now that sucks…i would have loved to see her in this movie…
the gossip cop thingy doesn’t mean much, she isn’t officially attached yet and there could be things going on behind the scenes Let’s face it natalie is too debutante like to play lisabeth, Ellen is a good choice, but she’s missing the sex appeal Kristen has. Kristen plays antisocial and violent well, plus she’s hot right now. I bet she’ll have to audition with clooney before getting the part, but I think she still has a good shot. Her schedule is completely open for the year for a reason.
gossip cop just takes pr people at their word. Kristen’s people aren’t gonna spill right now if there are some possible talks going on at the moment. she’s still up for it I say. she fits the role lisabeth perfectly.
she’s still up for it, trust. The two possible projects that could fill up her currently free year(minus BD) are American Girl and this project. Robert’s up for a very possibly big role as well.
the reason pr people tell gossip cop she isn’t is in case she doesn’t get the part. they never reveal their client being up for something just in case they lose out to someone else.
Kristen is the best out of the 3 actresses for this part. There is always a lot of behind the scenes negotiations before a major part is cast. Kristen definately plays antisocial and violent very well. Maybe she is not interested in the role or doing another series of films. Kristen definately has more sex appeal than Ellen, in fact when I saw Whip It I thought Kristen could’ve done a better job in the role.

I would give any role to Natalie Portman over Kristen and Ellen. There is absolutely no comparison in talent and looks and experience. Portman can play anybody.

Agreed. Natalie is in a completely different league and a much better one at that. Those who think she’s too debutant probably haven’t seen V or Closer. Both excellent films showcasing her amazing talent.

Definitely Kristen for this role! She is capable of much more than some give her credit for – as in Cake Eaters, Speak and Adventureland. She has that badass yet sexy quality about her – she is perfect!. Ellen Page – no way – way too mellow and mono type voice. Natalie seems too fragile for the role. Kristen all the way.
Kristen or Sienna Miller
I believe Kristen would be perfect for this role. When reading the books, she’s actually who I imagined when reading about Lisabeth. She’s super sexy, angsty, and seems really intelligent. Natalie and Ellen are great in their own right, but neither seem to have that sultry, sexy quality that Kristen has.
I would love to see Kristen in this role and with George Coolney that would be great but Natalie Portman would be great as well as Ellen Page but my first pick would be Kristen Stewart it would be something new and I think she would do awesomne in it as she does in every role she takes on.
I really love Kristen, but I’m sure the studio’s best choice would be Natalie…she’s proved she is very talented&can act on anything; she’s great as a dark character too/super hero, don’t forget that she was amazing in V for Vendetta. The only good thing for Kristen’s case is that Natalie has a packed schedule, so I guess she won’t be able to be in these films, even if she wanted to. As for Ellen, amazingly talented girl, but please, she’s nowhere near Kristen in the sex-appeal category!! Kris is definetely the better choice&I think you guys are right about her pr people&Gossipcop! Which makes me happy again!! I really hope she gets the part!!!

I totally agree with Colin. Natalie Portman is too old. Ellen lacks the appeal and Kristen can definately play a bad ass. Perfect casting. I do not relish the idea of her having sex scenes with a much older George Clooney though that would gross me out!!!!!
Oh no…. I’m Swedish and have seen the millenium films. First of all I can’t understand why you have to make your own version, can’t you americans read?! Oh my god… but I think Kstew would be great, but all the tweens would want to see it and it’s probably gonna be rated R if they don’t make a lame version of the Swedish movie…

I have to agree with cecillia, why do they have to make another version, why not translate the original. As Europeans we´re used to watching translated movies…anyway, I can´t see any of these girls in this role as the actress in the original now has formed my picture of Lisbeth Salander and she should be the one receiving international credit for it.

I can’t understand a word they are saying in this trailer but it looks good. I have a feeling that this could bring out good acting in Kristen. She could easily fit the part- more so than Natalie Portman and Ellen Page, who I can’t really imagine being the bad ass type girl.
i think the role should go to natalie portman, as kristen and ellen are both too young for this role? Ellen for once is too babyish looking and young and also short … whereas kristen is young .. i don’t want to see them naked with G.C.

I admire the 3 of them very much, but Ellen and Kristen have still those teen faces; Natalie would be a better choice. I read the novels and the role is tough, it requires a face more mature and a woman already capable of depth, more experienced: that shows in the face.
Kristen Stewart? She is waaaay overrated… too bad they have to remake the original movies to fit the us market.
