Kristen Stewart to Set Off a ‘Cherry Bomb’

Dec 3, 2008 at 10:55am

Salad bar dabbler Kristen Stewart will reportedly play rock mistress Joan Jett in a biopic of her first  all-girl band, The Runaways, who briefly ruled the LA rock scene for about a week in the late 70s.

The band is most famous for spawning the careers of Jett and heavy metal goddess Lita Ford, and for their squawling brat anthem “Cherry Bomb”.

Video director Floria Sigismondi has reportedly written the script and will helm the project, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Shooting will have to be scheduled to allow for Stewart to shoot the upcoming sequel to Twilight – Full Moon.
