Kristen Stewart’s Dad Disses ‘Twlight’

We’re still stinging from Kristen Stewart’s father’s remarks dissing Twilight.
Television producer John Stewart was asked why his daughter wasn’t walking the red carpet at the Oscars. After all we had Robert Pattinson working the red-carpet crowd and pulling in the television viewers on the show. Where was his Twlight on-screen lover?
John told Access Hollywood‘s Billy Bush that Kristen would present at the Oscars, “when it’s a great movie, not just one that makes a lot of money.”
That’s like a stake in the heart to Twilight fans.
But maybe we’re thin-skinned. Tell us what you think.
It seems to me that he’s saying that she’s above Twilight — like she’s deserves a better script. Guys got balls.
She’s a terrible actress. Who does she think she is. Twilight was a success because of Rob. He has worked himself to death promoting this film. She’s an ungrateful hag.
Her spluttering hospital scene in twilight was gterrible. She cant act. She stammers and hesitates. Pattinson is the true star. A gracious charming man. He deserves much success. He has natural ability and charisma.

I am totally blown on this article. I clearly see that he is talking about the Oscar movie nominations. He is not talking about Twilight. He meant she will present at the Oscars when they have a good movie selection for her to present for.
the movie WAS terrible, i dont know how anyone deludes themselves otherwise. also, i blame the direction for kristen’s poor showing. catherine hardwicke is a blight.

Well it wasn’t a great movie! It was a complete and total trash that I didn’t waste my money seeing. The movie is a complete disgrace to the books which I love. The casting was ridiculously despicable, the script laughable and a far cry from what was written in the books and the acting was wooden and lifeless, not to mention loveless. My friends as well as various reviews and the trailers confirmed that. It’s too bad, Twilight actually could have been a good movie had it fallen into the right hands.

Ok I am a die hard twilight fan but even I can admit that the movie was horrible. It was nothing like the book. I hope the next one is better. As for that atrocious “actress”she needs to be replaced. She was horrible. Rob was only eye candy and what made the movie. He is too fine!! Yummy :D
well i understand him when he says “not one that makes a lot of money”. I love the twilight series but the movie was just horrible and it was made for a PG13 crowd, thats probably why it sucked so much. I do think all the kids in the movie have a lot of potential but twilight is a marketing movie..just like britney spears is a marketing musician!!

Also, Kristen is a really talented actress, and people just need to get over the fact that they are jealous of her. Not like Rob’s acting is any better than hers.
compared to the book, the movie wasn’t great, i still love it, and agree that Kristen’s acting needed a LOT more work… but to each their own, lets just hope new moon script impresses her enough to try harder.
I love the Twilight books, but the movie wasn’t near as good. Neither Kristen nor Rob did a great job acting. They should have gotten a better producer or director or at least had someone tell them to do more than one take of each scene. Especially the hospital one; it sucked.
Kristen is way pretty, and so is Rob they should both stay in the series. They do need acting lessons though.
Alice Cullen was AMAZING. She was hot, with great acting.

Thank you Chris! I totally agree! The first thing I thought of when I read that was… “wow Kristen’s dad just totally took a dig at the Oscar nominees”. Not that he dissed Twilight. It doesn’t matter what she’s there for, she could be there promoting “Adventureland” or anything. I think Kristen just didn’t feel that any of the movies up for nods at the Academy Awards were Oscar-worthy.
I think that she is amazing. And just because her dad says something doesnt mean that she agrees with him. She is a great actress and did a wonderful job. I couldnt see anyone doing a better job than she did

i kinda agree with you. rob did the massive promoting for the movie not Kristen … she is pretty sarcastic but then why did she choose this business?? i don’t get it.
Let’s be honest..the Twilight movie really wasn’t that great..but her dad is pretty much a jerk for saying that. If it wasn’t for Rob I would have probably hated that movie! if you read the quotes of her in nylon magazine she is acting completely above the movie. and i actually went to a promotion event as a 20 year old to see how it went because im in event management and she rolled her eyes the entire time. they need to switch her character. the age range that follows twilight is 14-50, she needs to understand that dissing the 18 year old fans is her main age range. and shes a terrible actress easily replaced!!!!!!!

To be honest, I don’t think she acted like Bella in Twilight, she just has the appearance, she can’t make me to have the same feeling how Bella loves Edward in the book, but Robert did the great job on this, that’s why he is so popular now. She is lucky enough to get Bella this role…

But…. Kristen and Robert – despite some bad editing choices are brilliant in capturing the characters. Stop spouting off bollocks – she is just a kid playing a role.
