Lady GaGa Tells the World to Get Off Kanye’s Back
Lady GaGa is one loyal tourmate.
The “Poker Face” chanteuse—who’s hitting the road with 808s & Heartbreak rapper Kanye West later this year—says that people need to cut West some slack for interrupting country singer Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month.
Opines the Pantsless One,
“I can tell you that he’s very sorry, and he made a mistake, and he knows it…But at the end of the day, he is a pioneer in hip-hop music, and he changed what hip-hop music means. And I think that it’s time for everyone to kind of take their heads out of the newspapers and remember that, in truth, Kanye’s making most of the music we hear on the radio today…He has a tremendous effect on everybody’s lives and I think it’s unfair to judge a person by one thing that they said.”
Alright, then; being prolific is an excuse for rudeness. So what was GaGa’s reaction when she saw Kanye’s “I’ma let you finish” moment?
“It was, ‘Oh, jeez,” GaGa recalls.
Wow. Coming from a woman who’s caused no small number of, “Oh, jeez” reactions herself, that’s saying something.

She is only defending him for her own personal career gain. People will get off his back when he stops getting drunk and making stupid comments. People are sick and tired of his sh*t. Just shut the hell up and make music Kanye. There are plenty of new and fresh talent that is ready to take his place. And if Kanye doesn’t get his act together he is going to ruin his career.

First of all, I take exception to hip hop and music being used in the same sentence. Kanye West does this crap over and over again. It is obviously a calculated behavior just like this talentless slut’s comments.
I agree with some of what you had to say Renee. But I also agree w/ Lady Gaga, that people should move on already. The first reaction that we all had was definitely the right one. We let him know that his actions were not ok. The talking to that he got from Jay Leno was much needed. And from what he said I think he learned his lesson. Now, I think that we should all move on already. He f*cked up. Acted like an ass. He got reprimended for it. He even apologized quite a few times. He felt strongly about something, made his voice heard… in a very rude way but he stood up for what he believed in. Next time, he should do it in a different manner because he is entitled to his opinions. He just should never steal someone else’s moment in order to express his views. He threw atantrum and he got punished for it. It’s enough already. If a child acts up you don’t hold it against them. You let them know they did a bad thing, make sure they understand why what they did was bad and you move on and hope they learned their lesson. We need to do the same thing w/ this situation. He was an ass, but he didn’t kill anyone. The punishement should match the crime. We should turn our attention to all of those artists and producers asking for Polanski to be released. The man raped a 13 year old. That could have been anyone’s daughter/sister/family/friend. Let’s not forget that. She might have forgiven him, but she will never forget what he did to her. He stole her innocence. He took w/ him that night a piece of her soul, that she will never get back. Ever. He committed a real crime here. And he should pay for what he did. He is not above the law. He’s been hiding out for 30 years now. I think it’s time he pay for what he did to that girl all those years ago.

I don’t think that she said made this comment for her own personal career gain. Just because they are touring together, it doesn’t mean that they don’t have a friendship away from the media.
I completely agree with Lady Gaga has said. I also agree with Farah. People need to let it go. The situation is about Taylor and Kanye and Kanye apologized to Taylor and she accepted. That is what matters. She has made it clear that she doesn’t want to talk about anymore. Kanye is not entitled to make an apology to anybody here or anyone else except for Taylor. It is not about how you feel, it is about how Taylor feels.

NO, you do not “let it go”. You make his sorry ass ACCOUNTABLE for his actions. This empty apology does not make him accountable. It was as planned as his despicable act. He needs to be completely ostracized by his record label and anyone contracting with him for any performance or appearance for at least a year or, better yet, two. Take the only 2 things that mean anything to him, fame and money, away and he will either straighten up or, hopefully, go away.

Honestly, I think he’s been through enough. None of the things that you said are necessary. When you have your self esteem broken, that’s enough punishment within itself. No amount of fame or money can substitute for that. I think he has learned his lesson and I highly doubt that fame and money are all that matters to him.

I think he’s a pompous a-hole and I’m confused why anyone thinks he’s a pioneer?!? There is nothing pionerring about his music. Same old thing over and over with the electronic voice, or whatever it is. He needs to be held accountable for his actions…. and brought down to earth a little bit.
