Is Lauren Conrad Coming Down From 'The Hills?'
Better sit down for this news. Lauren Conrad tells Seventeen magazine that season 5 of MTV's reality-show blockbuster The Hills may be her last.
In an upcoming interview, Conrad says that it might be the only way for her to stay "sane."
"My biggest thing with the show was that I wanted to walk away from it while it's still a great thing," she explains. "I always want to remember it that way. I gave MTV a deadline and said, 'This is as long as I can do it and stay sane.'"
Season 5 will be shown on MTV starting in March.
Conrad also says in the interview that she's learned over the years not to let herself become a victim when it comes to men.
"I think there was a time when I let a guy, if not several guys, walk all over me—which I would never let happen now," she says. "I've grown to realize you can't allow yourself to be a victim."
Conrad is still not willing to even label actor Kyle Howard, whom she has been seeing for several months, as her boyfriend.
"He's a friend," she hedges. "I'm a fan of labels, but 'girlfriend' doesn't always look good on me. Ha!"
Hopefully Conrad will at least stick around for the "reactions to Audrina's robbery" episode.
