Poor Lauren Conrad. Her fashion line, Lauren Conrad Collection, is bombing.

And now she's being called out for not actually designing the clothes.

"You never see her picking out fabrics, or in the cutting room, or even at the drawing board," a source close to the line tells TMZ.com. "She's not the designer, the only step she's involved in is the promotion."

Well, duh; the girl can't even be trusted to carry a dog safely or make it to a paid appearance on time. If Lauren was really designing a line, she'd be hastily assembling something out of a paper bag and dried leaves between tanning sessions and clubbing binges.

For the record, L.C. denies the allegations. But, then again, she probably spends a good chunk of her time in denial.
