Leighton Meester Engagement Rumors: Totally False!

Relax, Gossip Girl fanatics; reports that GG actress Leighton Meester is engaged to her co-star and real-life beau, Sebastian Stan, have been greatly exaggerated.

Scuttlebutt began to emerge that the two became betrothed earlier this week, when the New York Post's Page Six gossip column ran an item claiming that the two had announced plans to wed on Facebook.

According to the Post, the couple, who began dating last year, both changed their Facebook status to "engaged."

After the Post's item was published, cries of "OMFG" rang out across the blogosphere.

But it just isn't so. Celebuzz has learned from very reliable sources that the two definitely aren't engaged.

Apparently, they're called "rumors" for a reason.

If "secret personal Facebooks" didn'te tell you that, you're an idiot.

Or the fact that it was base off the same article posted back in December in which both parties denied.

I think if she really loves him they should get engaged but not now i think in a year or two more when they have been through more things and our ready since marriage is a big step. but i definitely think they would make a great married couple they look so perfect for eachother now already:)
