Rich Cronin, the lead singer of nineties boy band LFO, has passed away at the young age of 35.
According to his brother, Cronin suffered a stroke this afternoon after a long battle with leukemia.
Fellow boy bander Lance Bass tweeted about his friend’s death shortly after hearing the news. “Sad sad day that Rich Cronin died- was a amazing guy. : (“
Known for their summer of ’99 anthem “Summer Girls,” LFO also had a hit single with “Girl on TV.” The song was said to be written about Jennifer Love Hewitt, who Cronin dated for a time.

that’s so sad that he passed away my prayers are w/ him and his family
It’s tragic that that terrible disease didn’t leave him alone. Having to battle it once must be hard, but three times? and then to die as a result….my heart goes out to him
