Liev Schreiber’s Son Hospitalized

Liev Schreiber missed out on Tuesday night’s Los Angeles premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, because he had to fly back to New York to attend to his hospitalized son, People magazine reports.

Schreiber and girlfriend Naomi Watts21-month-old son Alexander Pete—nicknamed Sasha—was admitted to the hospital overnight with respiratory issues on Tuesday.

Luckily, he was released Wednesday morning.

“Sasha got home today and is feeling much better after being hospitalized on Tuesday night with respiratory problems,” says Schreiber’s publicist, Ina Treciokas.

Just as luckily, even though Schreiber—who plays Sabretooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine—wasn’t able to make the premiere, Mel Gibson was more than happy to keep the cameras busy in his absence.
