Lily Allen Has Been Shot!

on Nov. 18, 2008 04:39 PM / 1 Comment

There's just no predicting the many moods of Lily Allen.

One day the chameleon-like "Smile" singer is wallowing in a pool of existential despair.

The next day—or at least, yesterday—she's at her bubbly best while filming her new music video in London.

Surrounded by colorful balloons and flashing a 100-watt smile, Allen cheerfully embraced her professional duties as she shot the clip for a track on her forthcoming album, It's Not Me, It's You.

Allen's jovial mood is made even more surprising by the fact that the video for the album's lead-off single, drug-culture anthem "Everyone's At It," was prematurely leaked onto the Internet last month. Guess Lily's learning to roll with the setbacks that life tends to throw at her.

It's Not Me, It's You—the follow-up to the 23-year-old singer's 2006 debut Alright, Still—is due for U.S. release on February 10, 2009.  The album's lead-off single, "The Fear," drops on January 26.

Other songs on the collection include "He Wasn't There," an "open letter" to her father; "CCR," which details her appreciation for '60s band Creedence Clearwater Revival; and "F*ck You," which the singer insists "is not a direct attack on anyone."

Whew; well that's a relief to hear! Right back at you, sweetie.

  • I can see why she likes CCR so much, given that she's a dead ringer for John Fogerty.
