Brawlin’, boozin’, cat-fightin’ singer Lily Allen, 23, isn’t known for her subtlety. Allen, wearing a Stevie Nicks-ish blue gypsy dress (better than some current fashion choices) was on her way into PR bigshot Matthew Freud‘s Christmas party.

As she made her way along, the mercurial Allen noticed the onset of a wedgie.

Rather than walking funny for a few moments until she found a private spot to take care of business, Allen picked out her seat in full view of the paparazzi.

Suddenly remembering that she’s one of Britain’s most popular singers and is constantly being hounded by camera mobs waiting for her next crazy antic, Lily cracked up when she realized her backseat maneuver was caught on film.

Allen recently covered Britney Spears‘ hit “Womanizer,” which perhaps was her thank you to being allowed back in the USA.

Unfortunately, when friend Mark Ronson played Lily’s version on his radio show, Lily landed in hot water.

“Now, some of you may be wondering why I covered ‘Womanizer.’ Simple really. I love Britney and I love the song. I had asked him [Ronson] to talk all over it so it wouldn’t get ripped, but he didn’t.  Thanks Mark—for getting me in serious trouble with my record company.”

So getting caught manipulating her underwear out of her butt is the least of Lily’s worries.
