Lindsay Lohan Blasts "Sicko Fans" and "Distracting Noise"

Lindsay Lohan's constant presence in the media spotlight (whether by her own doing or not) seems to have caught up with her. And she is trying to set the record straight.

In a statement to E! News, Lohan feels that she has overcome her past and is trying hard everyday to make a good life for herself.

She wants the world to stop kibbitzing on her sobriety, her employment status, and her relationship with her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson.

"They need to stop saying we're fighting," she says about reports that the two are often spotted fighting in public. 

"People telling lies about me to her and all this garbage. I'm really a good person and I have a good heart and just want to work and the only reason I go to clubs is to hear Samantha spin or be normal."

And Lohan insists that she is neither using or boozing.

"I don't drink, I don't do drugs and I don't lie," she said. "I love to act and write and be creative and I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it."

The actress, who has acknowledged that she is currently having difficulty getting film work, feels that her future could be brighter if people would just forget about her past.

"My past is my past and it's been a long one, but I'm growing more and learning more day by day. I'm not the same person and I don't make the same mistakes. I move forward and I change. Life's too short not to. If people would just leave my personal life alone—because it's really not that interesting—then I could land a great role. But all the sicko fans and the noise is so distracting."

Lohan also requested that the public to have faith in her.

"It would be really nice if people would believe in me," she states.
