Lindsay Lohan May Have Role in 'Machete'

Well, whaddaya know? It may turn out that Lindsay Lohan may still have a film career after all!

Director Robert Rodriguez tells MTV that there's a part waiting for Linds in his upcoming movie Machete—if she'll have it.

After extolling the Mean Girls' actresses virtues with a "Lindsay's cool," Rodriguez let slip, "There's actually cool part in the movie for her if she takes it."

Machete, an expansion of the fake trailers in Grindhouse, Rodriguez's collaboration with Quentin Tarantino, is due to start shooting "in a couple weeks," Rodriguez notes, and the studio is "casting right now."

Better get on that phone, Lindsay!

So far the only official cast members are Danny Trejo and Michelle Rodriguez, though it's rumored that Robert De Niro might be taking part.

Lohan and De Niro, together on the big screen? Marvelous!

I wish it was a movie I wanted to see anyway. I rented Grindhouse because I'm a fan of Rose McGowan and Freddy from 6FU. It was a horrid crapfest. Yeah, I got the concept, but that didn't make it watchable. Some interesting ideas should stay that way: ideas. Anyway, I sat through most of Labor Pains and I'd rather have gone through my own labor again than watch that one. I'm a sucker for the Lohan, but someone put her in something decent, QUICK.

NO...she is washed up and will probably screw up the scenes. I am NOT a hater, just a realist.
This is one movie I wont waste my money, energy or time to see :)
No wait, she will only make Michelle Rodriguez shine brighter than she is..yah, go ahead and cast her but I still won't go see it..lol

Oh honey. Everytime Lilo MAY have a role in something (even a BK commercial) things go awfully wrong. Look at Labour Pains. Ugh.

Right on, HATD! Love the idea of the drama b/t Lilo and Michelle. They're both hot in a kind of narsty way, and Michelle would be such a titanic upgrade from that scrawny dude Lindsay's with. Now I heart this movie idea!

Yes Sonia, but it's still went straight to DVDs...c'mon now, you know this, there is a reason why you watched it on tv and not in the movie theater.... so even though you liked it....the producers and obviously a lot of other people didn't because they thought it wasn't good work!
