Lisa Marie Presley on Michael Jackson’s Death: “I Am Heartbroken”

Lisa Marie Presley, who was married to Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996, has issued a statement on the singer’s death on Thursday afternoon, Us Magazine reports.
“I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible,” the statement reads. “I am heartbroken for his children who I know were everything to him and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me.”
Presley, daughter of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, wed Jackson in the Dominican Republic on May 26, 1994. The two split 20 months later, when Presley filed for divorce in January 1996.

Michael Jackson was a phenominal artist. No matter his freakish figure in the public eye lately, we did not live a day in his shoes and do not know any truth. Michael should be respected as a legend , along with his family. I will always remember my dance moves with Michael as I pray for his family and his safe return to the Lord’s hands! To the people who are saying DISRESPECTFUL things, no one has the right to place JUDGEMENT, but GOD himself. If he was a criminal than don’t you think that he would be locked up someway somehow. I first listened to Michael Jackson back in 1968. My first ever record was ABC on a 45. I have seen him rise through the years… driven by his dad and his own ambition. Michael was amazing, unreplacable. He broke ground in music, in dance, and in race. He opened a door for others. His love of children, well, I can’t rightly say what that was about, but my guess is that he wanted children to have the kind of “Neverland” experience that HE never had. That innocence, “Peter Pan” childhood experience. Wrong? Right? Who is to judge, but the JUDGE himself. I believe Michael was innocent. He only acted on love. God rest him.
