I don't think I'm narrow minded or a bad person; I think that if you're in America where it is considered an English-speaking country, you should speak English out in public or at least have a basic knowledge of the English language enough to say, MYOB. At least if she WAS in her own country, she'd be able to explain herself and her actions. Sorry to be the one to inform you, but this country was made up of other countries or else the majority of us would be Native American. So don't go saying that "the language and the way of America", because I promise you, that old ladies' country had more to do with this country being what it is today, than what you may think... I promise you that Spanish is not far from being the second official language of this country. Hispanics and Latins are soo close to being the majority of this nation, if they aren't already. So watch yourself, turns out we are all mutts, so don't start saying you are 100% American, because really, you come from a line of different countries that were discovered many more years than when America was... Oh and another thing, spanking is a way of disciplining your children to not grow up the typical "Spoiled American Brats"!

I think she was right to check on the situation and let the woman know what she and probably most of us think is wrong. She was just braver than most of us to go over and let that woman know she had better stop and that it is wrong. Spanking children only teaches them that violence is the way to get what you want out of people.

there is never any reason to lay a hand on a child. The woman should have been jailed. It's disgusting.
