After announcing her split from her husband, Royston Langdon, Liv Tyler tossed aside her dowdy duds and has ventured into her new-found singlehood with confidence.

Initially, it seemed as if lovely Liv were trying a bit too hard to impress on the red carpet.

But the statuesque stunner has struck the perfect balance between hair, makeup and outfit just in time to attend The Red Thread: The Inspiration & Passion of Valentino Garavani.

In honor of Liv and her gorgeous ensemble, and Valentino's irradiated tan, maybe they should have renamed the event The Orange Thread.
