Can modern politics become more of a joke than they already are? Sarah Palin may think so.

OK! Magazine reports that John McCain‘s running mate—who was famously lampooned by Tina Fey on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live—may make a cameo on the show.

Sources from the show report that the possibility of the Alaska governor making the appearance are so great that her security team has already done a walk-through on the set—though it’s unclear why any woman with a wicked-cool helicopter-mounted wolf launcher would need extra security.

This would be the second time that someone on Palin’s ticket has appeared on the show—McCain hosted the show in 2002.

You know, because he shuns celebrity culture. Some of the time. When celebrity culture isn’t busy shunning him.
