A Los Angeles Judge Wants a Piece of Britney Spears
Britney Spears has gotten her life back on track and is opening the VMAs this Sunday. Hooray!
But a couple of things might be eating away at her:
1) Her mom’s upcoming tell-all.
2) That pesky year-old misdemeanor charge for driving without a valid California driver’s license.
Brit was busted for having only a Louisiana license after an L.A. fender bender last October.
E! reports that Superior Court Judge James A. Steele declined to toss the charge, stating that even though Spears filled out the paperwork and got her license following the citation, a person can’t “simply procure a California driver’s license after the fact and then have the charge dismissed.”
Great. Does this mean Brit will be picking up tin cans and cigarette butts on the side of the highway?
Surely there’s someone she can call to get out of this.
