People reports that actress MacKenzie Phillips was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport today for alleged drug possession.

"She was being screened by airport security when a small amount of what appeared to be heroin and cocaine were found on her person," Sgt. Jim Holcomb told the mag. "She was arrested at about 10 a.m. and is still in custody."

Phillips, 48, is the daughter of Mamas and Papas founder John Phillips.

She initially rose to fame as a child star driving shotgun with a virile Harrison Ford in American Graffiti and alongside Valerie Bertinelli on the hit TV show One Day at a Time, which ran for nine seasons between 1975 and 1984.

In 1980, Phillips' cocaine addiction led to her frequent absence on the set and her eventual firing from the show.
