Apparently, Mackenzie Phillips approaches her attitude toward freedom one day at a time.

The former actress—who was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday morning on charges of heroin and cocaine possession—has accepted bail from her half-sister Bijou Phillips, after initially rejecting it.

Bijou and her boyfriend, Danny Masterson, visited Phillips in the slammer yesterday and offered to post bail. Mac declined, saying she'd rather stay locked up. (Maybe she was looking for new connections.)

But Thursday, TMZ reports, Bijou returned to the Van Nuys jail and ponied up $10,000 to spring her half-sis.

Sounds like Mackenzie cracked under pressure. Then again, by celebrity jail-stint standards, an entire night in the clink is practically a life sentence.
