Geez; you'd think that with a disintegrating marriage and a less-than-favorable public image these days, Madonna would be doing everything she can to maintain her friendships.

But OK! Magazine reports that Madge—who turns 50 tomorrow and earned an estimated $72 million last year—won't even hook her buds up with free tickets to her upcoming Sticky & Sweet Tour.

"She's a businesswoman and sees her shows as work, not a party for all of her friends," someone close to the tour tells the magazine. "She doesn't think having celebrities in the front seats makes her cool."

What, and she doesn't think that her pals regard maintaining a friendship with her as work? Egads, the shameless self-promoter probably refuses to validate Alex Rodriguez's parking when he visits her at her New York apartment.

Then again, Madonna needs every grubby dollar she can get her hands on to buy up all remaining copies of her brother Christopher Ciccone's tell-all about her.
