It's not every pair of style icons who will wear their inspiration on their sleeves. That openness is what sets Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen apart from the typical 22-year-old, identical-twin billionaires.
The former child actresses and current fashion moguls (their The Row line of upscale apparel is one of few clothing offerings to be relevant in this retail-disastrous economy) appeared at Westwood, California's Borders bookshop on Wednesday night to sign copies of their new book, Influences.
An super-sized, lavishly illustrated tome, Influence collects in words and pictures the artists, rebels and visionaries who have contributed to the quirky yet cohesive worldview of the twins themselves.
The sisters graciously sat and chatted and signed for a couple thousand of their closest fans.
Book buyers who desired an Olsen scribble had arrived at the store half a day early and secured wristbands guaranteeing them the right of signage.
However, not every stray pedestrian in Westwood was enchanted with the world's savviest business twins. And they brought along some signage of their own.
The video tells the tale.
Shouldn't these protesters pick on someone their own size? Or at least show their real faces? Discuss it in comments.
