Mary-Kate Olsen: Rich Girls Like Recessions
In what is one of the more revealing statements from a celebrity this year, Mary-Kate Olsen, 22, was reportedly overheard on an elevator at Barney’s New York City finding a silver lining to the cloudy economy.
“It’s really sad—the recession is everywhere. But at least they are having good sales,” said Olsen, who pointed to her hat. “That’s where I got this! The recession!”

Hmmm. So maybe the reason Mary-Kate is so seldom seen eating is that she doesn’t like to waste money on nonessentials, like food.
