Raising kids is costly—for most people. But for show-biz bigwigs, it can be quite lucrative.

Continuing the trend of celebrities leveraging their offspring's image for big bucks, Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend Camila Alves will pocket $3 million from OK! magazine for exclusive rights to their newborn son Levi's first photos.

The payday is a dramatic increase over preliminary estimates, which held that the couple would rake in a mere $1 mil for pics of their spawn.

But not everybody's sweet on the deal. The New York Post reports that McConaughey's publicist, Alan Neirob, is livid over the arrangement.

The Post's source says that Neirob "begged [McConaughey] not to work with [OK!] because he's considered an A-lister."

Either way, that kind of dough is quite the windfall. Matt can afford to beef up his surfboard-toting security squad, and still have plenty left over for a debauched Nicaraguan getaway.

You might want to buy traveler's checks next time, Matt; you don't seem to have a lot of luck with money when you're traveling abroad.

The Bill Gates of celeb baby earners will be the Brangelina twins of course. Already, Brad and Ange have been offered between $10 and $15 million for pictures of the unborn treasures.
