Meanwhile in England: Brangelina Hit BAFTAs
While recording royalty gathers for the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday, screen stars descended on London for the annual British Academy Film Awards.
Oh, and the rain descended too.
Nonetheless, Britain’s equivalent of the Oscars attracted the likes of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie—both nominated a total of three times for this year’s body of work. The two megalights looked stupendously good as they braved another soggy British red carpet.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Slumdog Millionaire led this important Academy Award-success indicator with 11 BAFTA nominations each, including Best Picture.
Meryl Streep, Robert Downey Jr., Penelope Cruz and Mickey Rourke were among the big names who also survived the rain before the glitzy ceremony at London’s Royal Opera House.
