It's long been rumored that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen vixen Megan Fox is being sought to replace Angelina Jolie in a Tomb Raider sequel, but the action star has ended this talk, stating publicly that no one has contacted her or offered her anything.
"I think that's a role that Angelina Jolie mastered, and I would never attempt to take that over from her," Fox said.
The scuttlebutt began when Tomb Raider producer Dan Lin announced that Jolie would not be returning as Lara Croft for a third time in favor of a younger actress that might revitalize the franchise after 2003's Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life earned a feeble $65.7 million.
This announcement, accompanied by the ready-made comparison between the two actresses, has fueled speculation ever since. Until now.
But maybe the producers should consider making Megan an offer. If Fox's career-making work as Transformers' adrenaline-fueled eye candy is any indication, she could bring in big money for the flagging series.

"a role Angeline mastered" lol, she couldnt do a proper English accent to save her life. those movies sucked
all angelina mastered was being a hot piece of ass, megan fox is a decent replacement.
ummm...why not Rhona Mitra??---She IS the original model for Lara Croft...just a thought
i can agree with that, those movies suck ass, i dont know about the accent...lol
Megans right, she could never replace Angie since it does take some acting skills, unlike Transformers where its all about the robots. Hate on her all you want but she played Lara convincingly. Not sure what you're talking about, she was definitlely kick ass in it. If you didnt like it , it was no fault of Angies, she played the part spot on. Didnt even notice the lack of an English accent, most didn't... who cares. Jolie must have done something right, as those movies grossed over 200 million. You must be haters, those movies were far from sucking.
I dont think Angelina is a great actress and the fact that she makes more mone per -film than kate winslet is INSANE but Megan fox is terrible also, she can't act at all but she is pretty and fits the "tomb raider role"
I absolutely agree that Megan Fox would be a great replacement for Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft. Angelina Jolie is so overrated. In with the new Out with the old.
poor megan, she is hot and she can run and swing her boobs. she attracts the men therefore I just want to see her sink her teeth into a real role, and I would love for her to showcase some class..

have a check
I think that if she passes the Tomb Raider role that it will be the biggest mistake for her because she needs to realize that she is her own woman- she is not "playing" Angie- she is playing Laren Croft the explorer.
This role would be perfect for her and I think that it would really make her look like a REAL actor and not a sex object with no acting abilities. Women in action roles appeals to both sexes not just one.
