Good news, Megan Fox fans (i.e., pretty much anyone with a libido and a pulse); the equal-opportunity bedmate and Brian Austin Green's sole reason to live is slated to star in the upcoming film adaptation of the comic book Fathom.

IGN.com reports that the actress "has officially signed onto the project this week. Fox is set to play the lead character of Aspen."

The story, which has been in development since 2001, involves a woman named Aspen who's brought to dry land from a long-lost ship and discovers that she has water-based powers.

Water-based powers, you say? Sounds like they picked the right girl for the job.
