Mel Gibson 'Furious' Over 'Hangover 2' Firing

Uh-oh; it sounds like Mel Gibson's infamous temper has flared up again—and this time he might have good cause for his anger.

The New York Post reports that  the Passion of the Christ star—who was unceremoniously dumped from the sequel to The Hangover last week after the cast protested his inclusion—is "furious" about getting the heave-ho.

According to a source close to the 54-year-old actor, Gibson takes particular umbrage to the firing, given the fact that former boxer Mike Tyson—whose own checkered past includes a rape conviction—was allowed included in the original Hangover. The source says,

"He doesn't understand why Mike Tyson, a drug user who turned his life around, was given a chance while Mel was kicked to the curb. Everybody deserves a second chance."

Gibson, who was to play a tattoo artist in Thailand for the movie—has since been replaced by Schindler's List actor Liam Neeson. In a statement issued to announce the replacement, Gibson's rep, Alan Nierob, who coincidentally reps both actors, hinted at a certain level of distaste over the sacking, noting that Neeson will take the part "pending clearance of cast and crew background check."

Do you think it was right for Gibson to be sacked from The Hangover Part 2? Share your opinion in the comments section.

Mike Tyson is not just a drug user, he's a rapist! It's odd to me how the so called "hollywooders" are seemingly ok with drug use, sexual offenses, wife beating, public nudity, ...and the list goes on. But, Mel Gibson hurls a few words, and only words, around and everyone freaks out and calls him a social misfit. I do not condone anything Mr. Gibson allegedly said in any of his most recent publicity nightmares, but I don't see how it's so critical to weather or not he can do his job. How is this different from any of the numerous other celebrities that want to tell us all how to do everything from vote for president to wash our hair. It's opinion! Have we gotten so numb to our world that we no longer wish to allow personal opinion? For all those that have taken the opportunity to get in front of the camera to "slam" Mr. Gibson I say this: Let's get a recording of your ranting at your most angry & hurtful moment in your life thus far, blast them on the airwaves, have them picked apart and critiqued by every lay person that cares to listen, and THEN lets see who among them is worthy to cast a stone at Mr. Gibson.

Mel is confused by this entire situation, but mostly because he didn’t know there were any Greek Jews.

Mel Gibson thinks that Zach Galifianakis is going to get raped by a pack of N-words...and Mel Gibson thinks that Zach Galifianakis will have deserved it.

Mel Gibson wasn't the star of the Passion of the Christ. Pedantic, I know.

"He doesn't understand why Mike Tyson, a drug user who turned his life around, was given a chance while Mel was kicked to the curb. Everybody deserves a second chance." Yeah I'm pretty sure he had his second chance after those anti-semitic comments. He blew his second chance remember?
