Michael Bay: Megan Fox "Has a Lot Of Growing Up to Do"

Everyone knows Megan Fox has said some outlandish things over the past few months while promoting her new flick Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen, which is absolutely crushing the competition at the box office this summer.

And one quote in particular has upset the movie's director, Michael Bay.

Fox told Entertainment Weekly, "I mean, I can't sh*t on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's *ss. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."

Now, Bay has a thing or two to say back to the 23-year-old actress. He told the Wall Street Journal: "Well, that's Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.'"

He adds, "Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in Armageddon. Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did Transformers— and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from Bad Boys."

Bay goes on, "Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers," he says. "I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

Burn! Not good to bite the hand that feeds, Meg.

bengibbard, He didn't found those actors. But he did however help made them bigger and more recognizable internationally. Ok?!! The world has no clue who Ben is before Armageddon. But, actually Bay is just pissed cause he's not getting some from Megan. Bleh.

this girl is a taint. does she ever shut up. but honestly, nobody should tell her to shut her trap, she will ruin her own career and cut off all opportunities for herself in the future. even if thats not what she meant, thats what she said and directors will look at that as being ungrateful. she doesnt need sh*tty movies to destroy her career, she can destroy her own career all by herself.

To "me", "firefly87" said it best, Megan could as easily just say thank you for the work! No Transformers is not about acting but the only reason she's been working is because of the Transformer movies aside from that all she does is mostly naked magazine spreads(I use that term loosely) and talk about how boring and whinny men are !
No Michael Bay didn't "find"these actors but we noticed them more because of the movies. Shia is a decent actor and I hope he doesn't get caught up too much with Megan, in my opinion she'll only bring him down eventually. As for Megan ,just try being alittle more appreciative whether it's a an oscar role or not (and you have a looooong way to go if at all before you may get one of those.) It's ok to be pretty and intelligent and one of these things fades after awhile!
Another thing,try not to contradict each interview you give, it only makes you sound stupid.

Man I just clicked this link on accident and read a couple posts. Good Lord, dont you people have lives? Who cares about all this stuff?!? Ben Affleck was right in one of the best movies ever when he talks about the internet being full of geeks that have the right to come on and slander people anonymously. Lol.

But, it isn't about acting, even a little. And it certainly has nothing to do with writing. Bay knows damned well what he's dispensing, and Fox knows what she's doing for a career. He needs to make more films like Bad Boys or shut the hell up. He is out of his mind if he thinks he can defend himself from a reasonable statement that everyone already knows is true by calling his star immature. Grow up, loser.
