Michael Jackson to Receive Public Viewing
What better way to begin the 4th of July weekend than viewing the remains of an American icon?
CNN reports that deceased King of Pop Michael Jackson‘s body will receive a public viewing on Friday at his former home, Neverland Ranch.
Also, a private memorial service will be held for the singer on Sunday.
Jackson purchased the Neverland Ranch, which is located north of Santa Barbara, California, in 1987, and it soon became famed for its vast menagerie of animals and amusement-park rides. He moved from the property in 2005 and nearly lost the property due to financial difficulties earlier this year, but came to a last-minute arrangement to retain a stake in it.
It’s not known whether Neverland will be Jackson’s final resting place. Rudy Clay, the mayor of Gary, Indiana—Jackson’s hometown—is lobbying the Jackson family to have him buried there. One suggestion is that a burial site could be located near a proposed Jackson family museum and a performance arts center.
“The mayor had spoken with a contact of the Jackson family and expressed our interest in having that to be a part of the history of this great family,” says a spokesperson for Clay. “We have not received confirmation on that.”
(The family has announced that they have no plans for a funeral until a second autopsy has been performed on Jackson’s body.)

i think michael should be buried in a private family plot, and be able to rest in peace without intrusion by anyone but the immedjiate family. it is sad enough that michael lived in a controversy. i hope he is respected because he made us dance and sing and there will never be another like him.

i think michael should be burried wherever his family want him to be burried….this is getting rediculious just let the man rest in Peace already. im tired of people talking about him

Michael sacrificed his whole life for our amusement and people hated him for it. I loved Michael’s music and thats what mattered. The rest is between him and his maker.. The least we can do is respect what he was and is and will always be. I imagine all of our lives would be completely different without him, so it is very much like loosing a family friend.. Rest in peace Michael.. I just hope he was ready for it..

I think a prvt family funeral telecast worldwide at AEG arenas is good, Not Neverland, they ran him away. Create a pub/prvt amusement park there. Also, a secret family plot, too many crazies may try to rob grave. Let Janet do his tour, and split, Michaels share 50-50 with Janet, and Jackson siblings, heirs and parents. His father did create a musical family, though his technique may have been distasteful. It may be offered as an olive branch of forgiveness in heaven for Michael. He was a kind, sensitive man, hope he is in heaven.
