Michael Jackson’s Final Rehearsal May Be Released as an Album
Before Michael Jackson‘s tragic passing last week, he had been hard at work preparing for his final London concert tour which was to start this month.
Now, fans will have the chance to see what could have been.
Jackson’s final rehearsal from Wednesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was recorded in high-definition video and audio, and will most likely be released as his final album, according to the New York Daily News.
Concert production company AEG Live taped the rehearsal, which was described as “electric.” AEG is in danger of losing millions due to the canceled tour dates at the O2 Arena in London, but stands to make some big bank if they can release Jackson’s final performance.
Lighting designer for the set Patrick Woodroffe said, “We had rehearsed for the last couple weeks. We put together a complicated show, quite a spectacular show. Of course a huge part of it was him, and I would say for the last week he hadn’t really been with us. He would appear, and he would rehearse sometimes, and he would not rehearse.”
