Michael Jackson's Will: The Breakdown

TMZ reports that the beneficiaries of Michael Jackson's trust have been identified, and there are bound to be some unhappy folks.

From what they say, Jackson's mother, Katherine, will receive 40 percent of the assets, while another 40 percent will be split between his three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II (aka "Blanket"). The final 20 percent of his assets will go to a variety of children's charities, which weren't specified in Jackson's will.

Guess her really did stiff his father Joe after all.

And what about Debbie Rowe, his ex-wife and mother to two of his children?

Have your say in the comments section: Do you think this is a fair division of Michael Jackson's estate?

For goodness sake, Michael's will is just fine! He is allowed to do as he pleases when writing a will, and let me be clear, no family members or friends deserve a thing, except his children. Michael has provided for them properly in his will. He has also been generous by providing for his mother, which is probably not only a love gesture, but a religious belief.

He does not have to provide for his father - at all - and that has nothing to do with how his father treated him - it is just not required. His siblings are in the same group as the father, they do not have to be provided for; anything he were to leave them would be as a gesture only. Debbie Rowe has already been provided for with the financial agreement of their divorce. Her financial deal is finished.

Michael simplified his will and prioritized who he left funds to in his will. I believe he did a FINE job choosing who he left his money to and why he chose the people in his will to take over for him when necessary.

Such a shame the man was so concerned about his physical appearance; his fans, true fans; would have ALLOWED him to age gracefully. Heck, he was 50 years old, he did not have to kill himself to keep his fans or acquire new fans - true fans that is... Too bad that is probably what happened...

I was never a fan of his work however, I must say that the man was a consummate professional and I believe he gave the world too much of himself because he lost himself to his work, believing that he and his work needed to become one. Well, he and his work have separated now and only his work is left behind.

Michael could have been a man with a free spirit OF HIS OWN to choose which direction he wanted to go, without his work causing his every move in life.

If we understand how far Michael went we can learn not to do what he did, meaning destroy the man himself for the love of career and art (music). Those things are CREATED out of our spirit, they are NOT THE SPIRIT OF THE MAN ITSELF.

I believe Mr. Jackson can do as he pleases with his will. I dont think Paris and Michael should go back to their birth mother, she sold them off and her rights for over 8 million dollars. What is being shown to the world about our courts when we just let everyone go to court and change everything by fighting. If you are a sibling you should not expect money from Michael at all it is his childrens and who ever he chooses to give it to. I am quite sure his mother Katherine wouldn't let any of the Jackson kids go homeless and without shelter that is why Michael left it to her to figure it out. I wish he would of chose a younger person to care for the children though. His parents and Ross are up in age. It doesn't matter about how many nannys are in that house or how a minor few seniors are good at caring for their grandchilden. It is about finding stable and involved parents that can participate in all parts of their lives. Ok and I dont want to hear that love is enough. Wake up and smell the coffer world.......

My opinion is that Michael Jackson had every right to cut his ex-wife out of the will. Especially since she got millions of dollars from their divorce years ago. Plus she gave up her parental rights back then, so she shouldn't be asking for custody of the kids now just because MJ has passed away. She's never shown interest in them before, so she should just leave the kids alone so they can mourn in peace with the rest of their family. They shouldn't have to be stuck in the middle of a custody battle. She doesn't deserve to be in the children's lives considering they barely know her. Plus Debbie Rowe's just in it for the money. I read that she went to court recently (before MJ died) to ask for another $6 million or more from Jackson, but the judge denied her plea because of the $6.2 million dollars or whatever she got from the divorce. Talk about greedy. I'm glad she didn't get anything. Same thing with Jackson's father. I think his will is very fair. He put a lot of thought into his will and it makes a lot of sense that he'd split it up the way he did. RIP Michael Jackson. You will definitely be missed forever and always.

First of all Micheal's mother does deserve to have it all, she bore and raised him, not the public and those who want the money, and for religious purposes God will handle those who go about mistreating and using anyone.

I need to mention that Debbie Rowe tried getting custody of her two children but couldn't defeat Michael Jackson's lawyers. It didn't mean at all that she didn't love her children. It adds insult to injury to not let her have her children because she couldn't have them before. If it is determined that Debbie is sincere and genuine then her children need to go to her and if they don't want to split the kids up, then Blanket also. This is America and one parent can't determine after death what happens to a child if the other parent is still alive and willing.

It is Michael JAckson's right in how he does his will and the courts have no SAY in the fact. He fahter should have no damn rights to anything for the stuff that he had done to Michael. His ex-wife Debbie has no right either who cares that she is the bilogical mother and that is all she is. She has no rights to those kids period. She only wants the kids is because they have money attached to them. She is greedy and she only wants money.

I don't know who you think are to say that. She don't love those KIDS she WANTS the money that comes with the kids and when she tried to go after custody for the second time they never went to court. Is because they asked her u want money she took that MONEY. She just wants that money. And I think the kids should decide in where they want to go and I would tell the will pick Michael's family NOT her.

Katherine is way too old to care for her grandchildren. She's nothing more than Joe Jackson's puppet . He's behind every move she makes. Katherine loved Michael but still seems to place Joe before him. Believe me ........... It wasn't katherine who decided she needed to run to court to be pointed administrator of Michael's estate,

I am disappointed that none of Michael's siblings are willing to fight for his kids. I find Debbie Rowe a wee bit scary !!!
