Not even mourning the loss of his own father can stop Michael "Lo-Life" Lohan from dragging his family through the mud.

Lindsay Lohan's estranged father maintained his unblemished record for publicity-hound scuzzbaggery earlier this week by piping up about a rumored memoir by LiLo companion Samantha Ronson. Lohan accused Ronson of "using my daughter" and said that the relationship "is not in Lindsay's best interest."

Lindsay and Ronson quickly fired back via the Internet, characterizing Papa Lo as "a public embarrassment and a bully" and "so desperate for attention that he goes to the media whenever possible."

Hmm; ya think? Michael's father, Richard Lohan, died of colon cancer on Thursday. While Lindsay sought to use the tragedy to mend broken ties—sending a message to Michael stating, "Now papa has found peace and maybe we can find peace in our lives, too"—her father didn't even wait till the body cooled off to talk trash about his ex-wife to OK! Magazine.

"My father just, literally, died in my arms. I notified all my kids and my lawyer notified Dina's attorney," Lohan blabbed the magazine.  "Let's see if she has the decency and respect to bring my kids to the wake and funeral. THIS will show her true colors! Thus, not even a call. But that's par for the course with Dina! She didn't even send a card or visit when he was sick."

With a son like that, it's amazing that Richard Lohan didn't die of shame a long time ago.
