Michael Lohan Releases Sobbing Lindsay Phone Calls

Nov 4, 2009 at 10:50am

Nice to see that Michael Lohan is keeping things classy as always.

In his ongoing, high-profile effort to save his daughter Lindsay Lohan‘s life, Papa Lo has released recordings of phone calls that Lindsay made to him, in which a sobbing, hysterical LiLo breaks down and bemoans her personal life.

In the messages, which the elder Lohan released to RadarOnline (all for Lindsay’s good, of course), the weeping Just My Luck star complains that the whole world’s against her, even her mother, Dina Lohan:

“Mommy says that I’m worse than you were. And she’s defending…She doesn’t back me…she doesn’t stand by me…No one cares about me. They don’t, by the way. It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it.”

You can listen to the calls, if you have the stomach for it, here.

The elder Lohan, who claims that his daughter is in a downward spiral due to abuse of prescription pills, has vowed to obtain a legal conservatorship and force Lindsay into rehab. Maybe he thinks that publicly shaming her will compel her to go along quietly?

Let us know in the comments section: Do you think Michael Lohan is acting out of genuine concern for his daughter, or is he just trying to worm his way into the spotlight at the expense of her reputation?
