Gold medals aren't the only thing that Olympic stroker Michael Phelps has been racking up lately.

First came reports that Lindsay Lohan has been pitching woo at the swimming phenom. And now, according to the National Enquirer, American Idol season 4 winner Carrie Underwood has been putting the moves on dolphin-man.

Sources say that the two have been texting each other like crazy, and have made tentative plans for a "quiet first date" in the Nashville area, where Underwood resides.

Phelps does have one caveat about the prospective hook-up: "I'm not so sure you'd want to see me eat!" the water god warned Carrie. "It might not make a great first impression."

Yeah, well, he might have a point there.

With Underwood's romantic attention diverted, at least Jessica Simpson can rest easy—for now. But Phelps shouldn't get too excited about the whole thing: a text message from Carrie Underwood isn't always a cause for celebration.
