Did anyone think this wouldn't happen sooner or later?
The Los Angeles Times reports that reinstated NFL player Michael Vick—who was recently released from prison after running a dog-fighting ring at his home—will be starring in a reality series to air on BET to air in 2007.
Actually, they're not calling the eight-part show a reality show. BET prefers the term "docu-series," presumably because it classes up the concept a little.
The series, tentatively titled The Michael Vick Project, will follow Vick's return to the NFL under the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as delve into his controversial past, including his 2007 arrest.
Vick says of the series,
"I just want people to really get to know me as an individual. What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I've made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it's not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up."
Sounds...fantastic.

Why in the f*ck would this guy be getting a reality show for? Pointless. I am black and I don't even watch BET.
I THINK IT'S GREAT THEY ARE GIVING THIS MAN A SECOND CHANCE. THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY THEY HOLD PEOPLE FOR EVER ON CHARGES AND DO NOT LET THEM SHOW THEY HAVE CHANGED. HE SERVED HIS TIME NOW LET IT GO.
I really think the hypocrosy of the comments about Vick is hilarious.............so many people have taken his incident and exploited it instead of maybe viewing it as an oppurtunity to examine some of the lets just say "questionable" action in their own life or past. You go! Keep on keepin, and maybe you can even set an example for the hypocrites!
Whatever, I hope people keep on hatin on him for the rest of his life. Sorry doesn't give those countless innocent dogs back the lives that they lost or excuse the suffering they were put through. Anyone who can treat an animal like that is a monster, capable of much more. It's outrageous that they are supposedly glorifying the whole thing with a tv spot. Sometimes I wonder about this country.
